GET defers plans to rent solar wafer capacity in China Nuying Huang,Taipei;Adam Hwang,DIGITIMES[Thursday 11 October 2012]Taiwan-based solar-grade polysilicon wafer maker Green Energy Technology(GET)has deferred plans to rent production capacity in China because wafer prices have been falling,according to the company.

GET originally planned to rent 1GWp solar wafer production capacity in China in the second quarter,as the lease was low and there was no need for additional investment,the company indicated.With the rented capacity,GET originally expected to reach a total annual production capacity of 2.5GWp,a level large enough to digest a large portion of polysilicon material from international contract suppliers,the company said.
