According to the statistics from Statistics Turkey, Turkey’s volume of goods trade was USD195.87 billion from January to July in 2016, down 6.4% year-on-year (the same below). Exports fell by 3.6% to USD81.52 billion, and imports fell by 8.3% to USD114.36 billion. The trade deficit was USD32.84 billion, down 18.3%.

In July, Turkey’s volume of goods trade fell by 16.3% to USD24.47 billion. Exports fell by 11.2% to USD9.85 billion and imports fell by 19.5% to USD14.62 billion. And the trade deficit fell by 32.4% to USD4.77 billion.

Since January to July, bilateral trade volume between Turkey and China fell by 0.8% to USD15.77 billion. Turkey’s exports to China fell by 19.0% to USD1.15 billion. It accounted for 1.4% of Turkey’s overall export, down 0.3%. And Turkey’s imports from China grew by 1.0% to USD14.62 billion. It accounted for 12.8% of Turkey’s overall imports, up 1.2% over the previous year. Turkey’s trade deficit with China grew by 3.2% to USD13.48 billion.

China was the 19th export market of Turkey and its largest source of imports up to July in 2016.
